Burnin’ Love

When Kim & Chris hired me, all they had booked was DJ, venue and photographer. This was a great start for the wedding, and I was super excited because essentially we had an amazing venue, and a blank canvas. The couple expressed their desire to have a fun night, and not really produce this over-the-top, production of a wedding. I caught onto their vibe immediately, and we began planning!

Fast forward to May 2022, and Kim & Chris opt for a private elopement in Vegas - and get this - they were married by “ELVIS”!

I wanted to maintain the element of surprise for guests, so we formulated a little plan. I would pretend that the officiant hadn’t shown up or checked in with me or the DJ. And then around the corner would come Mr. Danny Memphis, singing to Burnin’ Love and…gyrating, as only a true Elvis impersonator could.

So…did I pull it off?

One of the guests even said they were beginning to question my professionalism before they realized it was a bit - LOL!

And yes, Kim IS the moment.

As we got closer to the August 2022 wedding, however, we were struggling with finding an officiant that could keep the ceremony short, sweet, and funny. After all, Kim & Chris were already married…we didn’t need to be waiting to get the party started.

So, I thought to myself, with my Suspicious Mind…they’ve had a private Elvis moment…We shouldn’t deprive our guests of the same camp-y goodness!

And I started looking for a certified Hound Dog to officiate Kim & Chris’ Burnin’ Love celebration. (Don’t worry, I’m almost done with the Elvis puns. I only know so many of his songs).

And that’s how we stumbled on Danny Memphis - Elvis impersonator extraordinaire!

The couple ended up having amazing time, as did the guests. We were beyond pleased with the amazing catering staff from AS Gourmet https://asgourmetcatering.com. All in all, it was a wedding to remember! You could say it will be Always On My Mind…
